Hotels to start tracking carbon emissions in 2023, aim to have net-zero emissions by 2050
Singapore
HOTELS in Singapore have aimed to start tracking their carbon emissions by next year and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, as part of targets set out in a sustainability road map launched by the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) on Monday (Mar 21).
In addition to emission targets, the industry also hopes that 60 per cent of hotel room stock in the city-state will attain internationally recognised sustainability certification by 2025.
