REAL estate consultancy Knight Frank has expanded its private client advisory business in Singapore, establishing its fourth private office globally, it said in a press statement on Tuesday (Feb 22).

The Singapore private office comes after the launch of the New York private office in December 2021.

According to Knight Frank's website, its private office is a residential and commercial real estate advisory team that advises and transacts for high net worth clients, family offices and their advisers.

Nicholas Keong, the former head of prime sales at Knight Frank Singapore, has been appointed to lead the private office here.

Launching the Singapore private office comes as part of the consultancy's strategy to be the "market leading, global private client and family office adviser in real estate", Knight Frank said.

The private office has been created to capitalise on existing and new relationships with key family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals in the Singapore market, said the consultancy.

Wendy Tang, group managing director of Knight Frank Singapore believes it is an opportune time for the consultancy to establish a private office in Singapore on the back of the expanding family office industry here.

"Given Singapore's credible reputation as an economic powerhouse, many family offices are enticed to explore this island country as a gateway to access Asian investments," she said.

Nicholas Keong said the Knight Frank private office team will be able to assist the property needs of its clients, including buying, leasing or selling property in Singapore or globally.

"Through our private office team, Knight Frank's private clients will benefit from one point of contact across both residential and commercial property markets, a high-quality service and a long-term consistent relationship," Keong added.

Joint-head of Knight Frank private office Rory Penn is confident that Keong is capable of leading the private office team and noted that Keong has experience working with high net worth clients across global property markets.
