PROPERTY technology platform Podium raised S$20.4 million in a Series A-1 investment round that was led by software giant Autodesk, the company said on Thursday (Nov 21).

Other participating investors include elevator manufacturer Schindler and real estate group Lendlease.

Podium has Surbana Jurong as its go-to-market partner.

The funds will help the company, which aims to connect developers, designers and suppliers, accelerate its growth in key markets, including Singapore and Australia where Podium is in advanced discussions with property developers, design consultants, supply chain partners and government agencies to join its platform.

“Podium’s platform addresses the critical challenges facing the built environment today, including low productivity, high waste, cost inefficiencies, and the growing need for sustainable building practices,” the company said.

First incubated within Lendlease in 2020, Podium became an independent technology startup in September 2024.

Podium’s automation algorithms allow detailed building models to be automatically generated based on factors such as the estimated cost of the project, the number of units for residential developments and desired floor-to-ceiling height and loading limits for industrial buildings.

Suppliers can also upload product data including technical specifications and product catalogues, which will allow designers to generate building designs incorporating their materials and pre-fabricated components.

In one of Podium’s trial projects, the software was able to generate an architectural and structural schematic plan for a ramp-up industrial building in minutes – achieving what typically takes weeks with conventional methods.
