Ronaldo-brand hotel chain goes to Morocco in global expansion

PORTUGUESE soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and the country's top hotel chain, Pestana, will open a new hotel under the Pestana CR7 venture in Marrakesh next year and hope to double the brand in three to five years.

Ronaldo is following other sports stars who have invested in hotels, including tennis player Andy Murray and soccer's Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs - but Ronaldo's venture has global ambitions.
