SLA appoints Colin Low as new chief executive, effective April 12
COLIN Low Hsien Yang has been appointed Singapore Land Authority's (SLA) new chief executive. The appointment will take effect from April 12.
Mr Low is the chief executive of Frasers Hospitality Trust's (FHT) managers. Before FHT, he was based in London as CBRE Hotels' head of hotel investment properties for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He has about 20 years of investment and corporate business development experience, covering the hospitality, retail and other real estate asset classes in the private sector, the Ministry of Law (MinLaw) said in a press statement on Wednesday.
Mr Low succeeds Tan Boon Khai, who joined JTC as chief executive in September last year, amid a slew of new appointments involving the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SLA.
In August 2020, the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Trade and Industry and MinLaw said in a joint statement that then-LTA chief Ngien Hoon Ping will leave the Administrative Service to join the FairPrice group, while then-JTC chief Ng Lang replaces him.
SLA deputy chief executive Simon Ong Hung Eng will relinquish his appointment as acting chief executive when Mr Low takes the helm on April 12.
