Apple to invest US$250 million into expanding Ang Mo Kio campus
The iPhone maker, which made its initial foray to Singapore in 1981 with 72 employees, now has more than 3,600 staff in the Republic
TECH giant Apple will invest more than US$250 million to expand its campus in Ang Mo Kio, with construction set to begin later this year.
The expansion will provide “space for growth and new roles in artificial intelligence and other key functions”, Apple said in a release on Wednesday (Apr 17).
The expansion works include a “major upgrade” to two buildings Apple acquired in 2022, located adjacent to its existing offices at Ang Mo Kio Street 64.
The Business Times previously reported in April 2022 that Apple acquired the then UE BizHub Central at 12 Ang Mo Kio Street 64 for S$55 million from a unit of Yanlord Land Group.
“Like all Apple facilities, the expanded campus will run on 100 per cent renewable energy,” Apple said.
