YELLOW Pages Building, located at 1 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, has been renamed Braddell House to reflect the owner's shift in core business to property.

Owned by GYP Properties, it is the group's headquarters and part of its portfolio of 303,172 square metres (sqm) of land, comprising commercial, retail and residential assets in Singapore and New Zealand.

"We chose to include 'Braddell' in the name as we are situated directly above Braddell MRT station," said GYP Properties chief financial officer Chua Joan Keat. "It is from Braddell House that GYP Properties is headquartered and drives its corporate strategy. Our brand identity shows Braddell House nestled in a Red Dot, underlining our Singapore origins."

The building has a land area of 5,039 sqm and a gross floor area of 13,268 sqm. Excess space that is not required for self-occupation is leased to tenants for rental income, according to a press statement from the company.

Formerly known as Global Yellow Pages, the company was involved in the business of digital solutions and printing of Yellow Pages directories. In 2017, it announced that it would restructure its digital business and cease publication of print directories in 2018.
