Consortium tapped by HDB to put together smart town master plan
A CONSORTIUM led by NCS has been selected by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) to deliver a Smart Urban Habitat Master Plan (SUHMP), which will help guide the development of HDB's future new towns in Singapore.
The consortium also consists of AECOM, Arup Singapore and Samsung SDS Asia Pacific.
The SUHMP is part of efforts to make Singapore a "Smart Nation", one that leverages technological advances to improve the way Singaporeans live.
Sean Chiao, AECOM's Asia-Pacific president, said: "Creating smarter cities for the future is a focus for AECOM, particularly in this part of the world. Asia is home to some of the world's largest and newest cities, and we aim to meet their evolving needs."
The consortium for this project will help HDB to identify and plan for the implementation of state-of-the-art, technology-enabled solutions that will make HDB's towns more liveable, more efficient to build and maintain as well as more sustainable.
