LUCAS Loh, the former chief executive officer and president of CapitaLand China, has been appointed the co-president of Hong Kong-listed property group Hopson Development Holdings, effective July 1, the group said in a bourse filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Monday.

In April, CapitaLand said Mr Loh would relinquish his role as CapitaLand China president, but stay on in an advisory, non-executive role as CapitaLand's China chief representative.

It also said its Singapore and International president Jason Leow would take on the oversight responsibilities for the group's development-related projects.

Mr Loh has no relationship with any of the directors, supervisors, senior management, substantial shareholders or controlling shareholders of the company, nor does he have any interest in any shares of the company, said Hopson Development chairman Chu Kut Yung.

Mr Loh was appointed to the position of CapitaLand China president in September 2018, and has been leading CapitaLand's business in China, as well as driving growth in its investment management business.
