Forest City golf course opens amid uncertainty for project

Johor Golf Tourism Association chief hopes it will help revive golf tourism in the state

The launch of the public golf course comes after Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohamad raised eyebrows last week when he said foreigners will not be allowed to buy homes or granted visas to live in Forest City.


A RM1.8 billion (S$599.6 million) golf resort and golf course at Forest City opened its doors to the public on Sept 1, with Country Garden touting its economic benefits even as the mega-project becomes shrouded in uncertainty.
