Frasers Centrepoint unveils details of Cecil Street office project
Frasers Centrepoint Limited on Tuesday revealed details of its Frasers Tower office project at Cecil/Telok Ayer streets.
The project, which is slated for completion in 2018, will have a total net lettable area (NLA) of nearly 690,000 sq ft. It will include a 38-storey Premium Grade A office tower with an open-space terrace on the fourth floor and a roof garden. An adjacent three-storey retail podium with a roof garden will feature various retail and food and beverage offerings. The development will feature a large park of 17,200 sq ft; a restaurant will be located within the park. The project will feature a three-storey basement car park.
The 235-metre tall office tower with about 664,000 sq ft NLA will have column-free floor plates of between 19,000 sq ft to 21,000 sq ft.
The main contract for Frasers Tower has been awarded to Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Frasers Tower is designed by DP Architects. CBRE and JLL have been appointed the joint marketing agents for the leasing of the project.
In a separate announcement, Frasers Centrepoint announced the award of the main contract for the construction of Northpoint City in Yishun Central to Lum Chang Building Contractors. Work will begin on April 15 this year. Lum Chang Holdings said in a statutory filing with Singapore Exchange that the contract's value was S$487 million.
The project, which is also slated for completion in 2018, will include the 920-unit North Park Residences, a 330,000 sq ft mall and a bus interchange. The plan is to integrate Northpoint City with the next door Northpoint Shopping Centre, which is owned by Frasers Centrepoint Trust.
