MALAYSIA'S Auditor-General (AG) has called for stronger enforcement of the collection of real property gains tax (RPGT) by the Inland Revenue Board (IRB), and for its staff to be more efficiently deployed.
Although the country's top auditor found the IRB's management of tax to be satisfactory overall, he said the system had weaknesses, such as long delays in the processing of tax forms - with some taking as long as 852 days.
