Real estate agency industry urged to press on with digitalisation
Retool, reimagine, and rethink business models: Zaqy Mohamad, Minister of State for National Development and Manpower
Singapore
EVEN as the real estate agency industry grappled with some technical issues as it re-started most property transaction activities under Phase 2, the industry was encouraged to press on with its digitalisation transformation.
Speaking at a virtual engagement session on Friday evening, Minister of State for National Development and Manpower, Zaqy Mohamad, said: "I urge all of you to continue your digitalisation efforts and see how to adapt to the shift in consumer habits and expectations. This is an opportunity for the estate agency industry. Technology does not do away with the need for face-to-face interactions. Instead, technology offers the opportunity for greater productivity while maintaining the 'human touch'."
