SFA, SLA open tender for fish farming plots on Pulau Ketam
THE Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and Singapore Land Authority (SLA) on Wednesday (Feb 23) launched a price-quality tender for a state land parcel in the east of Pulau Ketam, an island to the south of Pulau Ubin.
In their joint media statement, SFA and SLA said the land parcel, which is made up of lots 0213P (PT) and 0214T (PT) of MK 32, can be used for the cultivation of fish larvae, production of fish fingerlings and maintaining broadstock for the production of eggs.
It measures 69,543.7 square metres and its tenancy period is 5 years, with an option to extend another 4.
The tender for the land parcel will close at 11 am on Apr 20, 2022.
Interested tenderers can access SLA's one-stop property portal, State Property Online Information, for more information. A virtual tender briefing will be conducted via Zoom on Mar 2, 2022 at 10 am.
The tender is part of SFA's strategy to optimise the use of sea space for food production and raise fish production in line with Singapore's "30 by 30" goal of producing 30 per cent of the country's nutritional needs by 2030, the press statement added.
