DEVELOPERS sold just 230 private homes in the traditionally lull month of December, down from the already dismal 423 units in November 2014. However, last month's sales figure is on par with the 259 units moved in December 2013.
The above figures exclude executive condos (ECs), a public-private housing hybrid. Including ECs, developers sold 406 units last month, a drop from 1,278 units in November. That said, November saw three EC launches (Bellewoods, Bellewaters and Lake Life), compared with just one launch (The Terrace) in December.
The above figures were released by the Urban Redevelopment Authority based on monthly submissions of housing sales statistics by developers.
