Singapore government to sell 17 sites in 2H 2015

THE Singapore government will sell four sites on the Confirmed List and 13 on the Reserve List in the second half of 2015 that could yield about 7,825 private residential units and about 277,580 square metres of commercial space.

The site sales are part of the Government Land Sales programme.

The Confirmed List sites comprise four private residential plots, including one executive condominium site. Their total estimated yield is about 2,130 private residential units, including 520 executive condo units. The existing pipeline supply is about 84,000 private residential units.

The Confirmed List sites are a 0.84ha site at Alexandra View to be launched in September; a 1.32ha site at Clementi Avenue 1 to be launched in October; a 1.93ha site at Siglap Road to be launched in November; and a 1.85ha executive condominium site on Yio Chu Kang Road to be launched in December.

The Reserve List comprises eight private residential sites, including one executive condo site, two commercial-and-residential plots, two commercial sites and one White site, for which the developer enjoys certain discretion in deciding usage. The Reserve List sites can yield about 5,695 private residential units in total and 275,580 sq m of commercial space, mostly for office use.

The Reserve List sites are a 2.11ha residential site on Stirling Road now available; a 2.44ha residential site at New Upper Changi Road and Bedok South Avenue 3 now available; a 0.47ha residential site at Bartley Road and Jalan Bunga Rampai now available; a 1.4ha residential site at Lorong Lew Lian now available; a 2.17ha site at Tampines Avenue 10 now available; a 0.48ha residential site at Margaret Drive now available; a 0.73ha residential site at Jalan Kandis available in September; a 2.73ha executive condo site at Sumang Walk available in December; a 2.3ha commercial-and-residential site at Holland Road now available; a 1.4ha commercial-and-residential site at Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 available in December; a 2.1ha commercial site at Beach Road now available; a 2.24ha commercial site at Woodlands Square available this month; and a 1.12ha White site at Central Boulevard available in December.

The government is also removing from the Reserve List a White site at Marina View and Union Street that has been available since October 2011. The government said it will review development plans for that site.
