Tender for a Jalan Papan industrial site not awarded

The tender for an industrial site at Jalan Papan (Plot 4), launched by JTC on June 29, will not be awarded.

Two bids were received for the site; the highest qualified bid was not accepted as the price offered was below the reserve price.

The site is the last of three Confirmed List sites for the first half of the 2021 industrial government land sales programme.

Confirmed list sites are launched according to schedule regardless of demand.

By comparison, under the reserve list system, a land parcel will only be released for sale if it receives an offer of a minimum price that is acceptable to the government.

The tender closed at 11 am on Aug 24, 2021.
