West Coast housing site available for application on reserve list
THE Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on Friday released the detailed sales conditions for a 99-year private housing site along West Coast Vale.
This means that the site, which is on the reserve list of the second-half 2017 Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme, is now available for application by developers.
Sites on the reserve list of GLS Programme are launched for tender only upon successful application by a developer or when there is sufficient market interest in a site.
This is unlike confirmed-list sites, which are launched for tender according to schedule, regardless of demand.
In its release on Friday, the URA said that the West Coast Vale plot can potentially yield up to 730 private homes.
The 1.959-hectare site is located near existing condominiums such as The Infiniti, Botannia and Carabelle. It is also conveniently linked to West Coast Highway and Ayer Rajah Expressway.
Nearby shopping and dining options are available at Westgate, Jem and Big Box at the Jurong Lake District, and the future residential development is ideal for families with school-going children, as it is near schools such as Nan Hua Primary School, Commonwealth Secondary School and The Japanese School.
