Budget 2025: More Climate Vouchers for HDB households, Singaporeans in private properties
THE Singapore government will issue an additional S$100 in Climate Vouchers to Housing and Development Board (HDB) households to boost individual sustainability efforts, said Finance Minister Lawrence Wong in his Budget speech on Tuesday (Feb 18).
The vouchers will also be extended to Singapore citizens living in private properties, said Wong, who is also the prime minister.
The Climate Friendly Households Programme was enhanced in 2024 by being extended to all HDB households, with the voucher quantum raised to S$300 and the use expanded to a broader range of energy- and water-efficient products.
“To fully realise our green future, we will need to make lifestyle adjustments and adopt sustainable habits in our daily lives,” PM Wong said.
“I encourage all households to make the switch to more resource-efficient products, if you have not already done so.”
