BUSINESS event organisers have thrown their support behind the government's decision to relax dine-in rules for groups of up to 5 delegates of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum (NEF), viewing it as a key catalyst to kickstart the heavily-battered meetings, incentives, conventions and events (Mice) industry.

"We have had a couple of false starts earlier this year - the Shangri-la dialogue was postponed with approximately 10 days of notice; we also lost significant events like the World Economic Forum arising out of the pandemic," said Dylan Sharma, vice-president for advocacy and communications at the Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS).
