Singapore factory activity dips to neutral in October as electronics expansion slows
The overall purchasing managers’ index is down 0.1 point to 50
[SINGAPORE] The Republic’s overall factory activity dipped marginally to neutral in October, as the electronics sector expanded at a slower pace.
The purchasing managers’ index (PMI) dipped 0.1 point to 50 last month after entering expansion territory in September, data from the Singapore Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management on Monday (Nov 3) showed. It was neutral in August.
A reading above 50 indicates expansion.
