S'pore manufacturing activity picks up at slower rate in May
PMI reading dips 0.3 point from April to 50.8; electronics PMI continues uptrend by rising 0.8 point to 52.4

CONDITIONS in Singapore's manufacturing sector continued to improve for the ninth straight month in May 2017, although at a slower rate than it did in April.
The overall Singapore Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) - a leading indicator of manufacturing activity - stood at 50.8 in May, a dip of 0.3 point from the previous month.
