Tan Cheng Bock questions decision on reserved election
He wants the government to refer its decision to the courts, and to let Singaporeans decide

FORMER presidential candidate Tan Cheng Bock wants the Singapore government to explain its decision to include former president Wee Kim Wee's term in the count when it decided that the next presidential election would be a reserved one for minority candidates.
He said this decision was taken after the Attorney-General (AG) advised the government to count five consecutive terms from the term of Mr Wee, who became the first nominated president to be vested with the powers of an elected one.
