Hilton Singapore Orchard appoints new general manager
The 1,080-room hotel, one of OUE Reit’s key hospitality assets, will be led by Michael Janssen
[SINGAPORE] Hilton has named Michael Janssen the new general manager of Hilton Singapore Orchard, the brand’s largest hotel in Asia-Pacific.
On Thursday (Oct 9), Hilton Singapore Orchard announced that Janssen – a hospitality veteran with more than 28 years of international experience – began his new role on Sep 15, 2025.
The 1,080-room hotel, owned by OUE Reit, is Hilton’s flagship property in the region.
Janssen will lead the hotel with a focus on delivering elevated guest experiences and driving sustainable growth, the company said.
Prior to his appointment, he served as the general manager of ANA InterContinental Tokyo, as well as held senior leadership roles with InterContinental Hotels Group in Thailand, China and Indonesia.
The appointment comes as Singapore’s tourism sector enters a new phase of growth. International visitor arrivals are projected to reach up to 18.5 million in 2025, with tourism receipts at an all-time high of S$29.8 billion.
In his role, Janssen will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations.
The hospitality veteran added that he is looking forward to strengthening the hotel’s positioning as the preferred choice for every traveller.
