Ogilvy Singapore appoints Shirley Tay as new CEO
She will be responsible for the streamlined business operations of the group’s agency brands
[SINGAPORE] Ogilvy Group Singapore on Tuesday (Dec 2) announced the appointment of Shirley Tay as chief executive officer, effective Jan 1, 2026.
She takes over from Kunal Jeswani, who was group CEO for Singapore and Malaysia at Ogilvy for over two years, and has since become CEO for Oglivy Asean as at February 2025.
In this role, Tay will be responsible for the streamlined business operations of the group’s agency brands, which include Ogilvy Singapore and Grey Singapore.
The new CEO will work closely with leaders across both agency brands to leverage their collective strengths and diverse capabilities, while each brand will remain “distinct and serve their respective clients independently,” the company’s statement said.
Prior to this position, Tay served as chief client officer in the company.
She first joined Ogilvy Singapore in 2000 and eventually became managing director of advertising, where she led campaigns for clients including Singapore Tourism Board, BMW Asia and the National Environment Agency.
Tay also has experience in setting up a regional hub for Australia-based digital creative agency ZOO Group in 2015, as well as delivering data-driven solutions for clients such as Unilever, Coty and the Lien Foundation.
She later served as CEO of Young & Rubicam Singapore, before returning to Ogilvy in 2019.
