PM Wong, in a separate Facebook post on Jan 20, sent his congratulations to President Trump and US Vice-President JD Vance.
He noted that the US was one of the first nations to recognise Singapore’s independence in 1965, and the partnership between both countries has flourished over the decades.
The strong ties between Singapore and the US span many critical areas, from trade and investment to collaboration in outer space, and these shared pursuits are built on a deep reservoir of mutual trust, said PM Wong.
