Senior Counsel Koh Swee Yen appointed to Singapore Land Authority board
Six members were also reappointed to the board, whose new terms start on Aug 1
The Minister for Law on Monday (Jul 29) appointed one new member to the Singapore Land Authority’s (SLA) board.
Senior Counsel Koh Swee Yen will be appointed for a two-year term, which commences on Aug 1. She is the head of international arbitration practice at law firm WongPartnership.
Additionally, she is a partner in commercial and corporate disputes, and commodities and international trade at the same firm.
She is also the president of the Singapore branch of the International Law association, and sits on the governing board for the National University of Singapore’s Centre of International Law.
The new appointment replaces outgoing board member Senior Counsel Marina Chin – joint manager partner at Tan Kok Quan Partnership – who will complete her term on Jul 31.
In a joint statement, the Ministry of Law and the SLA extended their appreciation to Chin and her contributions.

Six members were also reappointed to the board, whose new terms start on Aug 1.
They include Lim Soon Chong, group head of global transaction services at DBS. He is also a member of DBS’ management committee, with more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector.
Board chairman Yeoh Oon Jin was reappointed for a one-year term. He was formerly the executive chairman of PwC Singapore.
The SLA, a statutory board under the Ministry of Law, optimises Singapore’s land resources. Among its various roles, the SLA manages public land through land sales, leases, acquisitions and allocations.
