THE pandemic has put the squeeze on businesses across the board in Singapore, but some small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are looking beyond the crisis to press on with expansion plans.

In order to do so while the business environment remains uncertain, they are seeking guidance from business advisers at the SME Centres and tapping the numerous business support grants available.

For instance, food and beverage (F&B) brand King of Prawn Noodles opened its second outlet in Hillion Mall on Aug 14. Director Chong Nyen Koon proceeded with his plans after taking stock of his company's resilience and technological capabilities, and the financial support schemes on offer, as explained to him by a business adviser at the SME Centre@SMF.
