Get your culinary game on
For Alexander Blanc, co-founder of CulinaryOn, a fun cooking studio from Moscow, his dedicated staff help get the party started.
PICTURE a fun place for a weekend escapade and the last place you'd probably think of is the Central Business District (CBD). But lo and behold, CulinaryOn - a culinary entertainment studio from Moscow - decided to set up shop at One Raffles Place. While this concept may seem counter-intuitive at first, co-founder Alexander Blanc, 41, has an explanation for why this actually works.
"Some people were saying nobody will ever bring their kids to the CBD for a birthday. And we had a different opinion for a simple reason - it's dead here over the weekend. Nobody would ever go to CBD as a walk-in place, but we're a destination place," he says.
Moreover, being in the heart of the CBD provides a good balance between private and corporate clients with offices nearby. Launched in October 2015, CulinaryOn Singapore has a capacity of 700 square metres, including four interconnected studios where classes are conducted and a conference room.
