FINDING the right partners, recruiting talent, picking locations, building confidence with clients, overcoming language barriers - these were some of the challenges that vending machine supplier Dropfoods faced when entering the Vietnam market in 2017.

But now, the company runs more than 120 vending machines deployed across shopping malls, residential and office buildings throughout Ho Chi Minh City, the financial hub of Vietnam.

Partnership was crucial to this success. In order to eventually be able to deploy its vending machines, Dropfoods started building confidence with property and estate owners in 2016. Two partners were crucial at the onset: Japanese-owned AEON malls and Korean-owned Lotte malls.
