Hotel chain dodges existential crisis
RedDoorz founder shares his experience as a business owner and on restructuring the business to survive in a pandemic.
THE coronavirus pandemic has not only been the greatest challenge for hotel chain RedDoorz, but also one of the most difficult times for its founder, Amit Saberwal, personally.
Having grown the business rapidly over the past five years, Mr Saberwal says it was "difficult" for him to see staff morale dip and hotel occupancies fall to all-time lows amid the hospitality industry's broad decline.
RedDoorz had also been on the cusp of launching a premium hotel brand, but the virus outbreak scuppered its plans.
