POS system and end-to-end food and beverage (F&B) consultancy service iCHEF has integrated with major F&B tech platforms like GrabFood and Xero to support restaurants in keeping up with consumer demand in this delivery-driven era.
In a Wednesday release, iCHEF noted that businesses are able to see up to a tenfold increase in time efficiency when managing orders on the iChef platform, which allows staff to focus on other tasks instead.
According to iCHEF, up to 600 F&B owners in Singapore and Malaysia currently employ iCHEF's offerings, and Singapore users of iCHEF's technology saw a 29.5 per cent year on year revenue increase in February 2021 .
The integration of GrabFood intoiCHEF's POS system allows customers to connect to their Grabfood merchant account with iCHEF, with real time updates of menu changes and item availability synced on a singular screen. With only one menu to manage, this means that GrabFood orders are now directly sent to kitchens. This helps to reduce the time needed for the order to reach the system.
Founder of The Beast Jamie Koh said: "With the integration, we can just go onto the POS system to see any changes reflected immediately, eliminating a lot of the back ad forth between my team and Grab."
This follows iCHEF's recent addition to Xero's App Marketplace, which provides back office automation for F&B businesses. The automatic integration of financial data from the POS system into Xero enables a faster bank reconciliation experience, iCHEF said.

This includes an easier management of labour costs associated with using different third-party delivery services and a diverse selection of consumer payment methods, the company added.
In a media event on Wednesday, international director of iCHEF Singapore Jay Teo noted that the number of enquiries about iCHEF's technology had doubled since the pandemic last year.
He also said that iCHEF's integration can help to reduce the work required, and free up staff from manual orders to work on other tasks.
"Integrating with platforms like GrabFood and Xero expands the iCHEF's ecosystem and shows our commitment to create the best restaurant management experience for F&B businesses across the region," Mr Teo said.
