IMAGINE this - you're back in primary school, up to your ears in mischief, when you suddenly hear your name called out by a disembodied voice over the public announcement system: "So-and-so, please head to the school's dental clinic for your yearly dental checkup."
You trudge to the clinic and trepidation sets in. Before long, you are lying on your back and wearing orange-tinted goggles, while the dentist clad in a surgical gown looms over you.
Then, the drilling starts. You're prodded with a variety of curiously-shaped metallic tools, your mouth gets all gritty and your tastebuds are assailed with the all-familiar bitterness of resin fillings.
