JUST 15 years ago, cashless parking systems did not exist. The older generation may recall traditional parking systems, where parking tickets were issued and fees were paid by cash via an auto-pay machine or through a cashier. Today, the cashless parking systems, including the CashCard Parking system (the brainchild of Sun Singapore Systems) and Electronic Parking System, are ubiquitous in Singapore.
Starting out as a small technology-based firm in 1993, Sun Singapore is now the largest supplier of automated car parking systems in Singapore today, with over 750 SunPark systems functioning in various car parks, present in locations such as airports, shopping centres, office and industrial buildings, hospitals, hotels and HDB flats.
