What is CTOaaS?

DEVELOPED by IMDA, Chief Technology Officer-as-a-service (CTOaaS) is a new initiative that aims to help SMEs to grow through digitalisation.

Slated to launch in the later half of 2021, it will work as a one-stop web application for SMEs to self-assess their digital maturity and gain access to a shared pool of digital consultants, building on what is currently provided under the SME Digital Tech Hub pilot.

SMEs looking to digitally transform will be able to browse digitalisation resources anytime through the app, and also use it to get targeted information on grants available to them for solution adoption.

They can also choose to engage CTO-equivalents or digital consultants from a shared pool through the new initiative, to get more in-depth advice.

For an affordable fee or free of charge, SMEs can tap on the digital tech expertise of digital consultants across fields such as data analytics and cyber security, who can help them identify their digitalisation needs and take the appropriate steps in choosing and implementing digital solutions.
