SMU hires Prudential veteran as CIO to oversee S$1.5 billion endownment fund
The fund invests across asset classes including private equity and hedge funds
[SINGAPORE] Singapore Management University (SMU) has named Don Guo as chief investment officer, turning to a Prudential veteran to oversee the US$1.2 billion endowment fund.
Guo started on Apr 1, replacing Harvey Toor, who will leave the school at the end of June, a spokesperson for the university confirmed in an emailed statement. Guo was group CIO of insurer Prudential from September 2022 until he stepped down last year.
The endowment stood at S$1.5 billion as of Mar 31. It invests across asset classes including private equity and hedge funds, the spokesperson said. BLOOMBERG
