Building success with humility
Superior quality of Seiko Architectural Wall Systems' products has helped it carve a name in the construction industry
NO metropolis is complete without the building facades outlining the cityscape. And this is what Seiko Architectural Wall Systems does.
Behind every successful business, there is a story to tell; and success did not come easy for Seiko. The company started off as a glazing subcontractor and glass supplier in 1978. However, its business model became obsolete due to intense competition from the low-cost Chinese suppliers in the 1990s. This was a critical turning point for Seiko as the company realised that a change was needed.
The business had to focus on the "soft" skills instead of competing to produce at lower cost. Under the leadership of the managing director, Rodney Cheong, the company became a specialist contractor and is today involved in the highly integrated process of designing, engineering, manufacturing and installation.
