Grab unaware of breaching M'sia competition laws with Uber buy

RIDE-HAILING unicorn Grab on Thursday said it has fully cooperated with the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), and is unaware of breaching any Malaysian competition laws since its acquisition of Uber's South-east Asian operations last March.
In response to media reports that Malaysia is advancing its anti-monopoly probe into the company, a Grab spokesman said the group proceeded with the Uber acquisition in good faith that it will "create more efficiencies and benefits for the public in the e-hailing sector".
