VENTURE capital firm Intudo has raised US$125 million across two funds, one on venture funding and the other on natural resources and renewable energy.

Of the US$125 million, US$75 million has been raised for Intudo Ventures IV fund, which will invest in businesses that have built a defensive moat in expertise such as commercial distribution, regulatory and deep technology. The Indonesia-focused firm will build a portfolio of between 14 to 18 Indonesian startups, with initial cheque sizes between US$1 million and US$10 million.

Notable investors in Intudo Ventures IV include Netherlands-based Orient Growth Ventures and Koh Boon Hwee’s family office Black Kite Capital.

The remaining US$50 million has been raised for a fund focused on natural resources and renewable energy. This fund aims to onshore critical links of the supply chain amid Indonesia’s rising importance in the global value chain for renewable energy.

With the latest fund raise, Intudo’s assets under management is now over US$350 million.

“By focusing on the things that Indonesia does best, we believe that Indonesia can create outsized value to investors and businesses,” said Patrick Yip, founding partner of Intudo.
