SINGAPORE'S economy could grow by an additional S$1.6 billion annually - if companies can harness their software developer resources more effectively, a study commissioned by San Francisco-based financial technology company Stripe has found.

The study, conducted independently by Nielsen, notes that access to developers is a major challenge faced by Singaporean businesses, 90 per cent of which are "reliant on software to launch products", and which are "increasingly technology companies".
