AN overseas phone call saved the life of Indranil Roychowdhury's father back in 2011, and inspired him to set up Docquity, a private and secure online learning platform exclusively for doctors.

"One of the defining moments of my life was when a very senior cardiologist, who was attending to my father in the emergency room, walked out and suggested that he only had a couple of hours left to live," Mr Roychowdhury recalled.
