SOUTH-EAST Asia's Carro and Carsome have been on a tear, drawing in hundreds of millions in venture money as they eye the public market.
On Jan 10, Carsome announced that it has raised US$290 million in Series E funding, giving it a valuation of US$1.7 billion. This was jointly led by the Qatar Investment Authority and Temasek-backed investors 65 Equity Partners and Seatown Private Capital Master Fund.
