China a good place for Singapore's tech startups, says IE Singapore
Singapore
CHINA may lack the reputation of being a welcoming destination for global startups, but IE Singapore, the government agency that partners Singapore companies in going global, has suggested that it could be one for Singapore's tech startups.
It is not the most intuitive idea. China has a huge market and vibrant tech ecosystem, but competition is white-hot, failure rates are high, and global companies have been known to struggle to navigate the scene and to adapt their solutions to meet the market's needs. Many of these have given up the ghost and bowed out eventually, among them Google, Uber, Amazon and Facebook.
