DELL Technologies' acquisition of EMC Corporation, which was completed in September 2016, created a behemoth IT powerhouse with a combined revenue of US$74 billion and an expansive technology portfolio.
The merger was interesting in many aspects, not least for bucking the trend over the past few years of tech companies breaking up into smaller, more nimble units to better weather the disruption sweeping through the technology industry.
