Huawei sees major potential in the non-telco business
Enterprise business set to play big role in the firm's future
THE enterprise group's contributions to Huawei's coffer for now is small, but its future role looks big. The Chinese telco giant sees the company eventually relying on non-telco business.
Already, says Huawei's South Pacific president of its enterprise business department, Zhang Hui, the sheer growth of the enterprise revenue points to the enterprise group's big potential.
Huawei's traditional business done with carriers accounted for US$27.5 billion of its total US$39.5 billion shares in the company's 2013 financial results. Sales by the consumer segment contributed US$9.4 billion, while enterprise only US$2.5 billion.
