JFDI dumps S'pore's first accelerator programme
It cites high costs, tight tech talent and immigration curbs here for exit
Singapore
THE Republic's first startup accelerator, JFDI, is closing its startup boot camp programme in Singapore. This comes after it has raised some S$3 million to support over 70 startups, and is said to be a stalwart of not just Singapore's, but South-east Asia's tech startup ecosystem.
JFDI chief Hugh Mason broke the news in a blog post on Wednesday, saying that in the six years since JFDI started, the "global startup ecosystem has evolved and accelerators including JFDI must evolve with it".
