Report: Region sees 45% higher risk of targeted cyber attack against its organisations than global average in H1

IN the first half of the year, organisations in South-east Asia (SEA) faced a 45 per cent higher risk of facing a targeted cyber attack than the global average, according to a report released by Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) and FireEye. In the prior six-month period, SEA organisations faced only a 7 per cent higher risk.
Across the region, 29 per cent of observed organisations were targeted by advanced cyber attacks in the first half of 2015. Thailand and the Philippines were the hardest hit, with 40 per cent and 39 per cent of observed organisations exposed to these attacks, respectively.
