THE Asia-Pacific region is likely to see an increase in the number of online targeted attacks next year as cybercriminals try to gather intelligence, including financial information, personal data and top-secret classified government data.
An online targeted attack refers to a type of threat in which cybercriminals actively pursue and compromise an entity's IT infrastructure while maintaining anonymity.
