Pushing out benefits of real-time analytics
MUCH has been made of the big data and analytics market, with many IT vendors proclaiming the inevitable growth of this market.
The benefits of having real-time insights to make critical business decisions, however, will not trickle down to local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) until there are cost-effective, subscription-based options offered by service providers.
According to IDC's worldwide Big Data Technology and Services 2013-2017 Forecast, the market is expected to grow 27 per cent annually to reach US$32.4 billion.
