PwC Singapore to invest S$50m over three years in cybersecurity practice
PWC Singapore said on Tuesday it will invest S$50 million over the next three years to expand its practice in cybersecurity and related pursuits. This will include bumping up the staff count in this area from 40 to about 300 over the same period.
This comes as PwC Singapore launched a new Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, which will look at research, information sharing, standards and international cooperation in this practice.
"As Singapore moves closer to becoming a Smart Nation, the need for the right talent to ensure that the nation and our systems are well guarded against threats will become a growing imperative. PwC is working to build capabilities that will support businesses as they 'go digital'," said Vincent Loy, Cyber Leader, PwC Singapore.
"We are already in the process of heavily recruiting globally to bring different capabilities and skill sets to Singapore. In addition, we are training existing staff and new recruits on cyber-related capabilities," he said.
